Saahas is a Pop Rock singer-songwriter from Bangalore, India currently living and writing in Los Angeles, CA.

The five song EP has been much awaited since the release of two singles - ‘California’, released on February 24th and the first single from the EP, ‘Glad You Stuck Around’, which has been signed to a publishing deal with Crucial Music and can be heard on commercials that it has been placed in. The two singles have received great critical reviews and has been streamed widely, ahead of the release of the new EP - California was featured on the Rolling Stone magazine and was on the magazine’s hit list. The EP was also featured on Rukus Avenue Radio and has received wide radio airplay.

Saahas has written, composed and recorded the EP. With the help of producer Navneet Rao (and Grumpy Dog Productions) who was the mixing and mastering engineer.

About the EP, he says “This is a collection of music and words that has meant a lot to me over the last three years. The journey in moving from India to Los Angeles and finding and pursuing a career in music has been a wild ride, and this EP is a reflection of every high and low. I’ve learnt a lot about myself through the journey and one of the most important lessons has been to not see everything as black or white, which is why it’s called ‘The Grays’.

Though it is his first collection of his own songs, Saahas is not new to the genre of acoustic pop music and being a songwriter. He has enjoyed a successful career at the top songwriters and performers in his field being the lead singer and songwriter of acoustic pop band Allegro Fudge, where he first started his career. The band has written and released an album and many singles. Their album ‘Maximum City’ (2012) received critical acclaim and commercial success. Their hit single ‘Colors Fly’ was nominated and won third place in the Pop Category in the Bite My Music Global Awards. The band also won best pop band at the Bite My Music Awards, being one of the only Indian acts to be nominated. Their song ‘Dream Out Loud’ was used as the campaign song for Bengaluru Based NGO U&I.

He has also written for and sung on short films after collaborating with movie composers like Anthony Darlak. He can be heard on award winning short films like Unreal Estate and Long Island Wolf - both of which have been short-listed to be screened at multiple festivals around the world, including the New York International Film Festival and won the grand prize at the Collaboration Filmmaker Challenge in 2016 (Long Island Wolf).

Saahas has also begun recording for his debut album, which is slated to be released in late 2021. Apart from recording and performing, he also works as a songwriter for other artists and DJ’s and has worked with producers and DJs from around the world - his work with Russian producer DJ Vlegel, hit song ‘Don’t Stop’ released in 2018 has been commercially successful - raking in half a million streams worldwide.
